Future Plans

Vision for The Future

  • The existing Education and Visitor's Center will be connected with the barn to create one two-story 15,000 square foot building. This link will be the public entrance and house the restrooms and mechanical equipment. Installing restrooms will permit us to open the Center to the public and begin hosting events and programs.
  • Construction of a mezzanine in the Education and Visitor's Center will allow us to move artifacts from our off-site storage facilities into the building where our volunteers can begin sorting and cataloguing the artifacts. Heating and air conditioning are needed to ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Future utility plans include connecting to the City water main that is on the north side of our property. We also need to construct an onsite septic system.
  • Installing a floor, doors, and lighting will prepare the lower level of the barn for use.
